Jesus = Yes
I am a follower of Jesus and I attend church.
You have put your faith in Jesus and regularly attend an assembly of believers. This is to be commended for many reasons. Jesus said, “For where two or three are assembled in my name, there am I in their midst” (Matthew 18:20 MEV). We gather in the name of Jesus. There is power in the corporate activity of believers that God honors. Remember what the Church can do for you:
The Church is a hospital for the spiritually sick, you and others.
The Church is where we are picked back up when we fall.
The Church provides a loving community for believers to interact together, and grow spiritually, and exercise their faith.
The Church provides us with the reminder of hope we have in Christ. This is for everyone’s benefit.
The Church provides motivation for love and good deeds.
If you already belong to a body of believers that love one another and take the Bible seriously, remain there, grow in faith and become a part of the life blood of the Church. Don’t adopt the habit of hopping churches on a whim and certainly don’t fade away. If you feel uncertain where you are at, ask yourself the cause. If it rest on you, then it is your duty as a Christian to address it and tie into your assembly. But if you honestly know you are in a non-loving and non-Bible believing church then don’t get discouraged. Go to where you can prosper in your faith.
